      Whistly has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
      content of any kind. We are committed to the safety of all users, especially minors.
    

1. Our Commitment

Whistly is a location-based community signal platform operated by SoftSignal Canada. We are deeply committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation online. Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities.

2. Age Requirements

Whistly is not directed at children under 16 years of age. During onboarding, all users must confirm they are at least 16 years old before they can use the app. We do not knowingly allow users under 16 to create accounts or post content.

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on Whistly:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
Content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors
Content that facilitates grooming, trafficking, or abuse of children
Any signal, comment, photo, or message that depicts or promotes harm to minors

4. Prevention Measures

We take the following steps to prevent CSAE content on our platform:

Age confirmation — all users must confirm they are at least 16 years old during onboarding before accessing the app
In-app reporting — every signal, comment, and user profile has a visible report button that any user can use to flag inappropriate content
Content moderation — reported content is reviewed promptly and removed if it violates our policies
Account termination — accounts found posting CSAE content are permanently banned immediately
Photo upload restrictions — users may only upload photos when creating community signals; uploads are reviewed against our policies

5. Reporting CSAE Content

If you encounter child sexual abuse or exploitation content on Whistly, please report it immediately using one of the following methods:

In-app — tap the report button on any signal, comment, or user profile
Email — send a report to support@whistly.ca with the subject line "CSAE Report"

Report to Authorities

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services immediately. You can also report CSAM to:

Canada — Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P): cybertip.ca
USA — National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC): CyberTipline
International — Internet Watch Foundation (IWF): iwf.org.uk/report

6. Our Reporting Obligations

SoftSignal Canada complies with all applicable laws regarding the reporting of child sexual abuse material. Upon discovering or receiving a credible report of CSAM on our platform, we will:

Remove the content immediately
Permanently terminate the offending account
Report the content to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P) via cybertip.ca
Report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required
Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations

7. Compliance

SoftSignal Canada complies with all relevant child safety laws including but not limited to Canada's Criminal Code provisions on child exploitation, the Protecting Canadians from Online Crime Act, and applicable international frameworks for child protection online.
